Andover Criminal Defense Lawyer for OUI, Felonies & Misdemeanors, and Speeding Tickets
Everyone accused of a crime deserves a fair chance at justice. When everything is on the line in court, you need an experienced and tenacious criminal defense lawyer willing to work tirelessly to win your case. As an experienced criminal defense attorney, I will fight the prosecution, challenge their case at every point, and work tirelessly in seeking to have charges dismissed and evidence excluded whenever possible.
I represent Andover residents and those in the surrounding communities in cases involving charges ranging from speeding and traffic tickets to violent felonies, including sex crimes, robbery, and assault. When your reputation and even your personal freedom are at stake, you need and deserve an attorney who is driven in seeking the best outcome possible for you and your matter.
Fixed Fee Representation
I typically accept criminal cases on a fixed-fee basis. Because it does not cost any more to hire me at the outset of your case than later on, I would encourage you to contact me for a free consultation as soon as possible, as the earlier that I am retained, the quicker I can begin protecting your rights.
The Criminal Defense Matters for Which I Provide Representation
I represent clients in virtually all types of criminal defense matters, ranging from traffic matters to serious felonies. Some of the more common matters in which I defend clients include:

- OUI representation for drunk driving and impaired driving
- Assault and battery
- Rape and sexual assault
- Drug crimes
- Robbery and burglary/breaking and entering
- Gun and firearm offenses

The Vigorous Criminal Defense You or Your Family Member Needs
My objective from the outset of accepting a criminal case is to win. I will do absolutely everything I can within the law and the boundaries of legal ethics in seeking to get all charges dismissed or to win at trial.
I challenge the prosecution – vigorously – in their attempts at seeking a conviction. I seek to get evidence excluded and cases dismissed, and will file motions when possible in seeking to preserve the legal innocence of clients. Such pre-trial motions may include, for example, seeking to prevent illegally obtained evidence from being introduced at trial. Often, when these motions are successful, the prosecution must dismiss a case if there is not sufficient admissible evidence to support a conviction.
Representing Minors and Young Adults
Often, many criminal defense matters involve minors. As most parents know, sometimes our children make bad choices, often as a result of hanging around with the wrong crowd.
In cases in which a young person has been charged with a crime, I am especially vigilant in seeking to preserve their legal innocence, and to see that a criminal charge is not included on their permanent public record. I understand the long-term consequences of these matters, especially in future matters concerning employment.
If your son or daughter has been charged with a crime, I would urge you to contact me at your earliest convenience to learn how I can help.
Plea Offers
I do not accept criminal defense cases with the intention of seeking to immediately enter into a plea deal. Plea offers from the prosecution should normally be considered only after other efforts to have a case dismissed, charges reduced, or to otherwise position a case for a strong defense at trial have not been successful.
When I accept a criminal defense matter, I am willing to go trial in seeking a not guilty verdict. However, there may come a point in which the prosecution offers a plea to a client. In this circumstance, my role as a criminal defense attorney is to discuss the offer with a client, assess the merits of accepting the offer versus proceeding to trial, and then for the client to make a decision as to how to proceed.
If a client is interested in accepting a plea offer, a critical part of my representation is to negotiate vigorously with the prosecution in seeking the best possible outcome, with the possibility of going to trial if the plea offer is not acceptable to a client. With years of criminal defense practice, I am experienced in seeking the best outcome possible for clients.
